“Our ecommerce site went down for 3 hours during a product launch and we had no idea until a customer emailed us. After that we set up HPS Uptime. Now I get a text the moment anything goes wrong — usually before a single customer notices.”

“We manage over 80 client websites. HPS Uptime monitors all of them and sends us instant alerts when something breaks. We find issues before clients call us. That alone has saved us more than the subscription cost every single month.”
J
James Okafor
Operations Director, Stackline Agency
“An SSL certificate expired on our main app and Chrome started showing 'Not Secure' to users. HPS Uptime flagged the expiry 30 days out. We renewed it the same day. We would never have caught it otherwise.”

CTO, Relay SaaS
The Problem

Your website goes down. You're the last to know.

Without monitoring, the first person to discover your site is down is usually a frustrated customer, a client, or someone tweeting about it. By then the damage is already done.

Downtime discovered by customers

You find out your site was down when an angry email arrives or a support ticket comes in. The site was unreachable for two hours during peak traffic and there was no one watching.

SSL certificates expire without warning

Chrome shows "Not Secure" to every visitor. Search rankings drop. Customer trust evaporates — all because a 90-day certificate renewed date slipped past you. Again.

Performance degrades slowly and invisibly

Your site doesn't go fully down — it just gets slower. Load times creep from 1 second to 6 seconds over a week. Conversions drop. Nobody connects the two because nobody was watching response times.

Agencies have no visibility into client health

You manage dozens of client sites but have no centralized view of which ones are up, which are slow, and which have expiring certificates. You find out when a client calls.

The Solution

Be the first to know. Every time.

HPS Uptime watches your websites around the clock — checking uptime, response times, SSL certificates, and domain health — and alerts your team within seconds of detecting a problem, before any customer has a chance to notice.

FAQ

Questions & Answers

Still have questions? Contact our team →

What is uptime monitoring?
Uptime monitoring is the automated process of regularly checking whether your websites, APIs, and online services are accessible and responding correctly. HPS Uptime sends HTTP requests to your URLs at set intervals and alerts you immediately if a check fails — so you know about outages before customers do.
How often do checks run?
It depends on your plan. Starter checks run every 5 minutes. Pro checks run every 1 minute. Business checks run every 30 seconds. Enterprise plans support custom intervals. More frequent checks mean faster detection and faster alert delivery.
How do alerts work?
When a monitor detects that a URL is down or responding too slowly, HPS Uptime immediately triggers an alert through your configured channels — email, SMS, Slack, Microsoft Teams, PagerDuty, or webhook. Most alerts are delivered within 60 seconds of the first failed check. You can configure separate alert rules per monitor.
Can I monitor SSL certificates?
Yes. HPS Uptime checks the SSL certificate for every monitored HTTPS URL and tracks its expiry date. You receive advance warnings at 60, 30, and 7 days before expiration — giving you time to renew before visitors see a browser security warning.
Can I create a status page?
Yes. Pro and Business plans include public status pages. You create a branded page that shows real-time uptime status for all your services. During an incident, you can post updates directly to the status page so customers and clients can follow along without calling support. Custom domains are supported on Business plans.
Can agencies monitor multiple client sites?
Yes — agencies are one of our primary use cases. Business plans support up to 100 monitors across unlimited client sites. Each monitor is independently configured. You can generate per-client uptime reports and share branded status pages for individual clients. Enterprise plans support unlimited monitors.
Does this replace my hosting provider's support?
No — it complements it. Your hosting provider monitors their infrastructure. HPS Uptime monitors your specific URLs and endpoints from outside, the same way a real visitor would experience them. Hosting can be fully operational while your site is still unreachable due to a plugin conflict, a code error, or a DNS misconfiguration. HPS Uptime catches these.
How quickly will I know when my site goes down?
On Pro and Business plans, HPS Uptime checks your site every 1 minute or 30 seconds. If a check fails, we immediately send an alert — typically within 60 seconds of detecting the outage. For context, UptimeRobot's free plan checks every 5 minutes. Faster intervals mean earlier detection and faster response.
Can I monitor multiple websites?
Yes. Starter plans include 5 monitors. Pro plans include 20. Business plans include 100. Enterprise plans support unlimited monitors. You can monitor different URLs, subdomains, API endpoints, and staging environments as separate monitors — all from one dashboard.
Is setup technical?
Not at all. Add a URL and HPS Uptime starts monitoring immediately — no agents to install, no DNS changes, no server access required. If you can paste a link, you can set up a monitor. Most users have their first monitor live and their first alert configured in under two minutes.
